This is a full-time career opportunity based out of our corporate headquarters in Lancaster, PA.
Responsible for the execution of enterprise risk management department activities and services. Provides leadership in the development and implementation of risk management processes, systems, controls and reports in support of the implementation of the Fulton Financial Corporation enterprise risk management policy, framework and other related governance documents. Prepares periodic reports related to risk management activities. Supports Fulton Financial Corporation's risk management culture and provides excellent service to internal customers. Lead and facilitate assessments of the effectiveness of the design and performance of risk management activities and processes performed by the lines of business to identify, assess, document, measure, monitor, and report on risk exposures and internal controls. Assist in guiding, training, and counseling the lines of business to enhance the effectiveness, efficiency, and quality of risk management activities and processes. Support and assist the lines of business in the identification, documentation, mitigation, and monitoring of risk issues. Ensure the factual accuracy of all reported issues, including the effectiveness and implementation of action plans. Serve as a liaison to the lines of business, working collaboratively to correct errors, omissions, and inaccuracies of risk management activities. Develop strong working relationships with other departments in the corporation and serve as a risk management subject matter point of contact.
Conduct reviews of risk management activities and Corporation risk profiles for the purpose of assessing, analyzing, and identifying trends, anomalies, and emerging risks. Effectively challenge assumptions, risk factors, and assessment criterion and, where appropriate, validate results to ensure accurate and complete documentation and sound analysis. Monitor workflows and processes to ensure tasks are routed and completed timely and correctly, monitoring progress and reporting results, or escalating matters as appropriate. Provide the risk management department, management, and other stakeholders with quality reports and analysis as deemed necessary on a regular basis, documenting clear and accurate findings that are well written and objectively convey observations and recommendations in the appropriate context.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and enhancements to risk management activities, processes, systems and internal controls to ensure they are efficient, effective, fit for the organization's needs and risk profile Develop an understanding of industry, regional economic environment and national regulatory environment, which could inform the analysis of emerging risks and have an impact on the way Fulton Financial Corporation manages its risks.
Bachelor Degree or equivalent experience. Specialty: Accounting, economics, finance, math, quantitative econometrics, quantitative finance, or a related field.
2 or more years compliance, external audit, internal audit, risk management, regulatory supervision, or applicable experience preferably within the commercial banking industry.
