We seek a dynamic and highly motivated Research Analyst with solid analytical and writing skills to support the work of the Global Policy Initiatives (GPI) team. S/he will be responsible for a wide range of duties including, but not limited to:
Developing thematic policy and research notes on topics related to sustainable finance under the direction of senior team members.
Drafting briefing notes and talking points for the senior management on a wide range of topics including sustainable finance, ESG themes, sovereign debt policy, capital market developments, among others.
Drafting reports and gathering documentation to fulfill the necessary requirements for various grant-funded projects.
Reviewing and providing quality control on written work (editing and proofreading content for typographical and grammatical errors) as well as verifying facts and figures to ensure accuracy.
Compiling and managing large ESG/sustainable finance databases and developing summary analyses.
Assisting in organizing events, webinars, and workshops, in collaboration with experts in other departments
Applicants should have: a bachelor’s degree in economics, finance, environmental studies or other related quantitative field, but more competitive candidates would have a master’s degree; two years of relevant experience in a similar role; strong command of the English language and excellent written and oral communication skills; proficiency in MS Excel, including basic functions and formulas; ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment; good organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a very fast paced, deadline-driven environment; ability to interact with all levels of staff in responding to a wide range of inquiries.
