Our client is a global leader in providing workplace investing, pensions and retirement products and services to corporate pension plan sponsors and their employees. They are looking for a Director level role in their Master Trust Governance team, focusing on operating as a 'senior leader' to drive and improve the effectiveness and alignment of their business governance and overall service delivery for their Master Trust business to their global growth strategy, as well as managing the governance and operational relationship between the business and their Master Trust trustees and the IGC.
Key responsibilities include:
managing the relationship between the business and the Master Trust trustees and IGC
working with external partners to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of their overall business governance, management reporting and service model
developing the wider team to drive high performance and standards
ensuring the business represents itself effectively to the Trustees and IGC in terms of alignment, quality and consistency
act as an internal champion for the Master Trust internally
supporting the Master Trust on the recruitment of Trustees and their Trustee pipeline
leading the supervisory relationship with the Pensions Regulator
supporting the design and implementations of the Master Trust product, client experience, investment strategies and operating model to achieve and maintain and market leading position
working with the Trustees to grow the client base and increasing member engagement
ensuring an effective model is in place to identify, escalate and resolve client and member incidents
establishing a quality assurance framework across the wider business
establishing appropriate risk, governance and compliance frameworks across the scheme
The successful candidate will need extensive experience of UK workplace investing products, a detail understanding of UK occupational pension schemes, proven experience of relationship management, strong influencing and communication skills, an ability to build and develop effective stakeholder relationships, experience of leading change delivery programmes and a strong customer focus. Potential backgrounds include in-house pensions governance, an operational role or employee benefit/DC investment consultancy.
