Corporate and Investment Banking provides corporate customers with a full range of commercial banking products and services, including cash management services, current accounts, time deposits, trade finance, working capital finance, term loans and foreign exchange. RM with an assigned portfolio of Bank clients and will be responsible to drive growth in this segment through marketing various bank products and developing relationships.
Work closely with other IBG-FI RM teams and various product teams at DBS Singapore HO and the regional DBS locations to drive FI relationship development and sales effort.
Grow revenue though new client acquisition, deepening of wallet size of existing clients, cross-selling of key products such as GTS trade/cash/custody, treasury, capital markets products and others.
Perform regular client calls to achieve revenue growth objective and deepen client relationship.
Develop a comprehensive understanding of clients' needs and good knowledge of our Bank's products by working closely with product/credit partners in providing suitable banking solutions to our clients.
Possess good knowledge and understanding of credit related matters of new/existing clients and clients' requirements, acquire good knowledge of our internal credit policies and other relevant internal requirements, so as to be able to work effectively with the IBG-FI Credit Management team and Credit approvers to bring across credit dependent solutions for clients.
Build industry expertise, stay well-informed on geopolitical risk, liquidity risk and macroeconomic trends to develop good knowledge and insights for the bank clients and markets covered, and be able to provide, share and articulate such knowledge/insights with internal stakeholders.
Responsible for delivering agreed revenue targets for the assigned portfolio
Tertiary education with minimum 7 years of relevant institutional/corporate banking experience. Previous experience covering financial institutions clients is an advantage.
Proficiency in English and Chinese (Mandarin) as portfolio coverage includes bank clients in greater china region and will need to communicate and make presentations in Mandarin to clients.
Good relationship management skills with experience in pitching Treasury, GTS (vostro/cash, trade, SFS), capital markets (DCM, ECM) and credit solutions.
Good credit evaluation and management skills including ability to assess financial statements, work with credit managers and credit approvers on credit memos to procure credit approvals.
