The Relationship Manager is responsible for both maintaining client relationships and winning new clients. The products offered are Cash Management, Financial Market, Credit and Trade Finance.
The Relationship Manager is overall responsible for the sales, implementation and innovation of all Transaction Banking (Cash Management & Trade Finance) products and services within their client portfolio.
Main focus is on customers linked to the CB and C&IB clients as well as to the top-tier customers of Asset Based Finance UK
Attend regular meetings with clients
Identify opportunities for selling products/services
Ensure complaints are handled properly in close cooperation with the Client Services teams.
Inform and advise others on matters of importance; Collect information in order to provide preparatory and commercial support to Senior RM's
Collect and analyse data regarding strategy, market developments and financial performances
Contact clients in the event of a problem with approval with a view of resolving the matter within the relevant guidelines and regulations.
Assisting in the development of new processes within the department
Coordinate the credit application process, as well as annual reviews
Closely work with all relevant internal support functions to ensure a smooth and seamless credit facility implementation.
Discuss with customers their long & short term funding (financing) requirements.
Review and improve the local credit application processes, procedures and facility documentation on an annual basis.
??Knowledge and Experience:
A good academic background. Educated to University level or equivalent
Strong communicator with solid banking skills
Strong credit skills - at least 5 years experience looking at Credit Risk within another Banking role
Knowledge of the UK banking environment
Strong product knowledge is required
Excellent track record in client facing roles
Worked in a similar role within another bank
Strong organisational skills
Good team player
Another European language (Dutch, French or German) is desired but not essential
