Business Support Associate - BRM - Financial Institutions - London
This exciting role is based within the Business & Relationship Management (BRM) department in London, reporting to a Senior Director in the EMEA Financial Institutions (FI) BRM team. The principal objective of the team is to manage and optimise existing relationships with FI issuers and other market participants and to originate new FI rating mandates through targeted marketing and client engagement.
This role requires a self-motivated and detail orientated individual, whose strong data analytic skills, will aid opportunity creation in order to support delivery of the Financial Institutions group's global business strategy. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the team works smarter by having access to actionable market data and they will also have regular interaction with senior FI BRM management globally.
- General business support for the senior FI BRM team:
Maintain and update data in Salesforce CRM system
Prepare commercial agreements for new and existing issuers
Contacting external stakeholders and organising meetings
Develop presentations and other marketing materials
- Market research and analysis:
Ability to run research reports from a variety of market data sources (e.g. FactSet, Bloomberg)
Interrogation and interpretation of capital markets data to monitor market activity and identify trends
Work with senior team members to build clear insights on Fitch's FI business performance and competitive positioning
Research and validate new business opportunities by reviewing market share data, debt maturities, competitor information, financial press and other data source to help identify new opportunities for the team
Produce summary analysis to aid the business and budget planning processes
Use data analytics to support group working smarter initiatives
Identify new market data sources that supports business strategy implementation
Manage regular market data reporting and knowledge sharing across the team
Qualifications and Experience:
Relevant university degree, preferably in a business, finance, economics, data analytics related field
Advanced Excel skills (lookups /index/ pivot tables / macros /formulae/shortcuts ) will be essential, with demonstrable knowledge of data research and analysis
Debt Capital Markets experience/financial markets knowledge would be advantageous
Knowledge of or aptitude to work with market data and CRM systems would be useful (e.g. Salesforce)
Ability to multi-task and respond to changing priorities, maintaining a very high level of accuracy
Attention to detail is critical
Excellent English language verbal and written communication and presentation skills
Self-starter with strong time management and first-class organisational and completion skills
Ability to work independently to deadlines within a strategic framework, with supervision and guidance from senior team members
