Equitable's global, multi-asset class general account investment portfolio supports the various US insurance and retirement businesses of Equitable Holdings. The Investment Portfolio Management Analyst will play an integral role within the General Account (GA) Investment Team, working closely with portfolio managers and other professionals to manage and monitor a $60 billion dollar credit portfolio. This portfolio is comprised of investments in Investment Grade corporate bonds, Emerging Market debt, High Yield bonds, Middle Market loans, Structured Products and Private Credit investments such as Private Placements and Infrastructure debt. The candidate will provide analysis and support for all aspects of the portfolio management process, including asset allocation, development of new investment strategies, monitoring portfolio performance and reporting portfolio results.
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Assist portfolio managers in evaluating relative value and developing asset allocation strategies across credit and other fixed income asset classes.
Work with portfolio managers in evaluating new asst classes and on-boarding new asset managers.
Liaison with internal (Risk Management, Treasury, Legal) and external third-party managers on a monthly/quarterly basis to drive strategic intiatives
Provide support for weekly, monthly & quarterly portfolio monitoring processes
Provide ongoing reporting and analytics to track portfolio construction and performance
Track existing and prospective investment activity across the General Account and support the portfolio management function as needed
Build and maintain financial models to incorporate the impact of forward-looking risk assessment and perform scenario analysis
Generate customized analysis for both internal and external distribution
Assist senior team members in responding to specific requests and ad hoc projects as needed
Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
Portfolio Management: Knowledge of investment portfolios; ability to utilize relevant tools and techniques in managing clients' securities investments.
Asset and Liability Management (ALM): Knowledge of asset and liability tools, techniques and business practices; ability to manage, measure, and monitor risks associated with assets and liabilities.
Investment Credit Risk: Knowledge of processes, tools, and techniques used to determine the degree of credit risk in a given transaction or customer relationship; ability to assess, rate and manage investment exposure to credit risk.
Investment Performance Measurement: Knowledge of investment performance measurement; ability to utilize a variety of methods to measure the investment performance on a particular portfolio against industry benchmarks and related parameters.
Investment Risk Management Policies and Procedures: Knowledge of investment risk management policies and procedures; ability to create, implement, evaluate, and enhance investment risk management policies and procedures.
Investments: Knowledge of the investments business; ability to analyze and evaluate asset types, market and industry trends, major issues, and regulatory considerations.

Bachelor's degree with a concentration in business, finance or economics preferred, MBA or CFA would be a plus
3+ years of experience in the financial services or the investment management industry, experience in insurance asset management would be a plus
Understanding of the Fixed Income markets and familiarity with credit asset sectors
Strong analytical and technical aptitude
Ability to take initiative and work collaboratively alongside senior members of the General Account investment team and across the organization
Team player with a strong work ethic and who excels in a rigorous and fast-paced work environment
Technical Skills: Knowledge of Aladdin and Excel capabilities
