The Supervision + Credit group is responsible for the supervision and regulation of state member banks (SMBs), bank holding companies, savings and loan holding companies, financial holding companies, data service providers, trust companies, and foreign banking organizations that operate in the Twelfth District. Supervised institutions are in all states of the District and range in size and complexity from small community organizations to some of the largest banking organizations in the country.
Supervision + Credit is responsible for the supervision and regulation of state member banks, bank holding companies, savings and loan holding companies, financial holding companies, data service providers, trust companies, foreign banking organizations and large institutions that operate in the 12th District. Within S+C, Supervision Operations provides support for the bank examination process and other administrative functions.
Position Summary Looking for a new opportunity to develop your operational expertise, consultative skills and improvement in execution knowledge? The Supervision Operations unit within the Supervision + Credit (S+C) area is seeking an individual with laser-focused attention to details to provide support to bank examination teams as well as other S+C priorities. In this role, you will partner with management and business line collaborators to evolve the level of service by gaining and applying your understanding of the business divisions’ fluctuating needs and identifying operational improvement opportunities.
Foster strong relationships to partner and provide stellar customer service by supporting examination teams throughout the life cycle of examinations; assist with examination packages, which can include downloading, importing, and verifying data from various database applications, and ensuring all out of compliance matters are documented accurately.
Perform all support responsibilities with excellence in execution, accuracy, and timeliness. This encompasses the entirety of the supervision lifecycle, inclusive of all intermediate processes, writing/editing reports to ensure all external correspondence is properly formatted and grammatically correct, and other related assignments.
Ensure appropriate and accurate use of supervisory examination tools as it pertains to examination achievements, results and 3rd party access.
Ensure data accuracy in NED system and perform verification of final NED forms against corresponding supervisory examination report.
Evaluate workflow procedures and recommend changes to improve efficiencies to actively participate in the ongoing evolution of the supervisory process (i.e. reviewing/improving processes, proposing new solutions, etc.)
Handle and classify information according to the requirements specified in the Security Assurance for the Federal Reserve (SAFR) Policy. Recognize our responsibility to safeguard information security by keeping current with and adhering to all requirements, consistently seeking for precision.
Collaborate with teammates to share business knowledge and improve productivity.
This position requires access to confidential supervisory information, which is limited to “Protected Individuals.” Protected Individuals include, but are not limited to, U.S. citizens and U.S. nationals, U.S. permanent residents who are not yet eligible to apply for naturalization, and U.S. permanent residents who have applied for naturalization within six months of being eligible to do so or who will sign a declaration of intent to apply for naturalization before they begin employment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Typically 4 years of banking or financial operations experience.
Ability to travel 5%.
Self-motivated and able to balance multiple deliverables simultaneously.
The ability to influence positive relationships across the organization.
Ability to work efficiently and collaboratively within a team.
Experience with National Examination Data and NIC Banking Structure (preferred but not required).
Associates degree or higher in a related field is preferred.
