We have an exciting opportunity for a Vice President to lead the Procurement function including Supplier Diversity, COSO- Internal Controls team, and a Financial Management Business Operations unit. In this role you will:
Provide strategic leadership to the Procurement Services team including guidance for sourcing compliance, contract administration, purchasing, vendor management, metrics analytics, and the travel program.
Provide strategic leadership to the Supplier Diversity Program: strategic sourcing business partners, diverse supplier outreach and capacity building, supplier diversity metrics, and reporting under Dodd Frank requirements in support of the SF Fed Strategic Initiative Framework for Change.
Serve as Senior Procurement Officer (SPO) representing the SF Fed with responsibility to set strategic and tactical activities for the national Procurement community.
Provide strategic leadership to the COSO Program team to ensure effective internal controls over financial reporting: Sarbanes Oxley Act (SOX) compliance, external auditor liaison, internal controls testing, attestation for FRBSF financial statements, Board of Directors Audit Committee reporting, and support ongoing improvements in the adoption of COSO Framework.
Provide strategic leadership to the Financial Management Business Operations team passionate about ERP technology optimization (Workday and SAP Ariba), continuous process improvement, and talent upskilling.
Support, mentor, and develop the management team within the Financial Management function in support of the SF Fed’s strategic near and long-term business objectives, ensuring all team members have priorities that are clear, realistic, and manageable.
Support SF Fed’s Chief Financial Officer with strategic decisions related to Financial Management functions.
Lead strategic planning initiatives, including setting goals and objectives, and initiating plans to ensure their achievement.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, finance, accounting, or a related field; advanced degree in business, economics, finance, accounting, or a related field, preferred.
Typically requires 15+ years of relevant work experience including 12+ years of progressive people and business management experience.
Knowledge of Procurement best practices in areas of competitive sourcing, contracts, and purchasing.
Knowledge of the COSO Framework for Internal Controls Over Financial Reporting.
Understanding of risk management best practices, internal control design, and controls testing.
Training in change management practices and large technology implementations.
