We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Portfolio Management Support.
Principal Responsibilities
Be part of Portfolio Management Support team ???implementing and executing the investment decisions on behalf of investment managers for private bank discretionary mandates
Take action on Portfolio Managers' instructions on trades and fund transfers and prepare orders files for all product
Executing and booking trades in equities, bonds, mutual funds, FX & alternative investments for discretionary client accounts
Responsible for pre trade control regarding client investment guidelines, available cash and holding positions
Ensure that there is no short selling, available cash is sufficient before placing the orders, client???s special guidelines are not breached, and the orders are in full compliance with internal and external requirements
Meet dealing cut off times for various markets
Coordinate programs rebalancing in areas such as portfolio construction, SAA and TAA changes
Create/maintenance of excel order planning tool in both equity and bond for trade planning purposes,
Arrange Foreign Exchange to fulfil trade settlements before value date according to different requirements in different markets
Co-ordinate all aspects of discretionary client accounts from accounts set up, trading, addition/withdrawal requests, and other miscellaneous requests from client
Inform and update portfolio managers about all incoming and outgoing funds
Liaise with portfolio managers for the acceptance of securities regarding securities transfers to new accounts and liquidating accounts
Work with Relationship Managers and Portfolio Managers for partial or full redemptions
Liaise with portfolio managers for corporate action events which investment decision is required
Notify the relationship managers for other type of events when necessary
Work with Information Technology team for system enhancements that contribute to a range of discretionary-specific projects
Requirements
University degree in business or equivalent
Preferred experiences in dealing in securities, good understanding of end-to-end trade life cycle and operational risk
Sound understanding of various FI/Equity/FX products
Highly proficient at Excel
Experience in macro VBA, knowledge in python will be an added advantage
Good at multi-tasking, able to work under pressure accurately and effectively
Fluent in English and Cantonese
