PURPOSE OF CLASSIFICATION The purpose of this classification is to assist the Director of Insurance and Risk Services with oversight, design, development, and implementation of risk and safety management strategies intended to prevent, control or mitigate losses and liabilities for the City, its employees, citizens and facilities. Responsibilities include assisting with the daily operations of the Insurance and Risk Services Department, coordinating work with internal and external departments and agencies; preparing and maintaining records; supervising staff; and assisting with emergency management activities.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS The following duties are normal for this position.
