Commercial Underwriter
Responsibilities: Evaluate insurance applications for commercial lines of coverage. Assess risk factors, such as the applicant's financial status, claims history, and industry trends, to make informed underwriting decisions. Collaborate with internal teams, including underwriting assistants and actuaries, to gather necessary information and ensure accuracy in underwriting processes. Communicate underwriting decisions effectively to agents, brokers, and other stakeholders, providing rationale and guidance as needed.
