The position represents an opportunity to join a growth segment within Citi's Commercial Bank (CCB). The CCB is focused on fast growing, mid-sized corporates going global.
Candidate will be responsible for business development through new client acquisitions, as well as the cross-selling of Citi's platform. Candidate will draw upon his or her broad healthcare industry knowledge to develop prospect lists within the designated target market. As a Senior Relationship Manager, you will serve as the liaison between the client and the various product partners (cash management, FX, IRD) to provide financial solutions. You will also partner with the Investment Bank and Capital Markets team to provide capital markets access, strategic advice and thought leadership. Given the global nature of Citi's client base, you will also collaborate with Citi colleagues across the globe to deliver local insights and banking solutions. This will be a national role with flexibility to be based in New York, NY, Boston, MA or San Francisco, CA.
Key Responsibilities :
Serve as trusted advisor to CEOs and CFOs by providing creative financial solutions and superior execution across the Citi platform.
Actively build a pipeline of new client acquisitions and cross-sell opportunities for existing clients.
Maintain frequent interaction with centers of influence (both external and internal) and industry trade associations.
Develop and execute both short- and long-term plans to differentiate Citibank from other, entrenched competitors allowing the bank higher share of wallet and relationship profitability.
Partner with product specialists to develop a thoughtful relationship plan for each client and prospect that focuses on both lending and non-lending business opportunities across the Citi platform.
Partner with other Citi businesses, including Investment Banking and Capital Markets, to ensure support to overall client and franchise objectives.
Serve as advisor to underwriting team on credit transactions while keeping current on industry risks, trends and regulatory updates across the healthcare sector.
Closely monitor clients to both identify business opportunities and anticipate potential risks. Proactively take action on possible risk issues and concerns.
Oversee talented junior resources to provide financial solutions to clients and prospects and ensure safe and sound underwriting practices.
Demonstrate strong and visible leadership and foster positive attitudes and trust among clients, prospects, and employees.
This position requires moderate to extensive travel across the country and possibly overseas, depending on the portfolio mix.

Be highly focused, able to rapidly determine key priorities, clearly communicate priorities, and ensure resources are properly aligned.
Able to demonstrate sound credit judgment during transaction structuring and present compelling proposals to credit officers and secure buy-in. Expert knowledge of credit products and process. Formal credit training required.
Demonstrate excellent presence and interpersonal skills that allow development of relationships at multiple levels within the client organization.
Demonstrate strong financial and analytic skills and ability to rapidly assimilate complex information.
Possess superior communication, persuasion, and influence skills that facilitate successful client pitches and proposals.
Qualifications :
10+ years of experience
In-depth knowledge of all aspects of commercial banking; commercial credit knowledge and an ability to quickly learn new products and services
Possesses sound judgment and is creative in providing credit/deposit solutions to bank clients
Significant experience with commercial credit decision making authority, with experience in complex capital structures and cross border transactions
Minimum intermediate level credit skills with the capability to demonstrate advanced level credit skills to be appointed a senior credit officer
Ability to work effectively in team setting
Able to effectively interact with a variety of internal and external constituencies
Proven track record of successfully managing and leading teams through complex change; a reputation for retaining, attracting and developing talent
Proven leadership ability with excellent interpersonal communication skills
Must be able to express a sound opinion, able to agreeably present another viewpoint
Must have a sharp business development focus and demonstrate innovative approaches
Able to quickly adapt priorities based on the latest data insights
Must be able to secure and/or maintain licenses 79 and 63.
