Our Team: Our team supports Open Symbology and drives efforts to contribute to universal and standard systems for instrument identification. This includes Bloomberg's responsibilities as a Registration Authority and Certified Provider for the Financial Instrument Global Identifier (FIGI), which is currently a standard of the Object Management Group and the American National Standards Institute. We are also an accredited Local Operating Unit (LOU) of the Global LEI System (GLEIS) authorized to create, assign and maintain LEIs, which are increasingly being used by regulators Identifiers which are crucial to the financial industry and gaining market acceptance of the FIGI and Open Symbology is a major initiative for our data.
What's the Role? As a Content Relationship Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining integrity of the FIGI, ensuring our data is fit-for-purpose for our clients. You will assist our clients with FIGI and LEI requests by building relationships. You will also assist with FIGI integration and mapping queries pertaining to our OpenFIGI API as well as gain an understanding of our customer's workflows. You will also have an opportunity to assist with marketing strategies to promote FIGI and Open Symbology within the financial industry.
We'll trust you to:
Become a subject matter expert on the FIGI and LEI
Provide outstanding customer service by handling client requests generated through our FIGI and LEI platforms and assist with client mappings as needed
Build strong collaborative relationships with clients and within the industry to understand where FIGI can play a part in client workflows and/or fit within industry requirements
Partner closely with internal partners to better understand our clients' data needs or trends and identify any potential gaps where FIGI can help provide a solution
Quality check our FIGI data to ensure outstanding data coverage and quality
Stay informed about the financial markets to spot trends, look for new opportunities and establish credibility with our clients by understanding their business
Engage in self-development to maintain and improve knowledge of the Bloomberg system, which constantly evolves as new data and analytical tools are added
You'll Need to Have : *Please note we use years of experience as a guide, but we certainly will consider applications from all candidates who are able to demonstrate the skills necessary for the role.
5+ years of relevant work experience in data management, client service, sales support, or marketing*
Excellent written and verbal communication and customer service skills, with the ability to initiate, develop and manage relationships with market players
Strong understanding of the markets, countries, and industry covered, as well as financial instruments across asset classes
Strong understanding of our customers' workflows and data needs to ensure our offering is fit-for-purpose
Strong ability in proactively researching and seeking out meaningful industry engagements to attract new relationships that will enable better brand recognition for the FIGI and Open Symbology
Strong project management and presentation skills, and experience working with tight deadlines
Willingness to travel within the region
We'd love to see:
An understanding of market identifiers and their function within the financial industry
An established network within the financial industry, including relationships with regulators and government agencies
Knowledge of F&O products and derivatives
Familiarity of data visualization tools, specifically QlikSense
Knowledge of web technologies such as Python, NodeJS, JavaScript, JSON, and HTML a plus
Solid understanding of Excel and sophisticated spreadsheet techniques
