Portfolio Manager (Commercial Real Estate Asset & Transaction Management)
Job Description Summary
As Property & Transaction Manager will be responsible for managing a national property primarily office portfolio in USA of around 70 sites on behalf of international financial services client. You will be part of a global team servicing the client and will report to an Account Manager located in London.

Key Responsibilities:
Oversee transaction management service delivery for client (lease renewals, acquisitions, dispositions -subletting-early surrender, freehold acquisition / disposition) and valuations
Daily tasks for this portion of the role would be :
- Understand and advise client on commercial market rent changes, indexation risks and other real estate market insights to help client understand how to optimize their real estate (operating) budget
- Oversee or perform transactions for client (renew leases, negotiate rent changes, lease acquisitions, etc.)
- Ensure all necessary reporting and business case approval is done for client to execute lease
- Liaise with lease data management team to provide lease contract and information related to the lease terms & conditions
- Oversee property management service delivery (Liaison with clients and 3rd parties i.e. landlords and their agents to ensure uninterrupted use of the clientâ™s premises, effectively acting as the intermediary between landlord and tenant)
Daily Tasks would include :
- Be main contact for landlord around notices, access to building for repairs, ensuring building is being managed as per lease conditions (common areas, security, etc.)
- Ensure cost effective operational running of properties
- Ensure adherence to lease terms and compliance with statutory requirements and advising client of same
Work within a global account team to ensure :
- Ensure service delivery meets performance standards
- Track and report all data required for performance (KPI) reporting
- Actively participate and gather all required data & insights for portfolio planning process
- Identify and drive through cost savings for Client
- Lead and ensure effective client relationship management for client stakeholders in assigned geography and scope of service
Key Performance Indicators:
- Contribution to achievement of client and regional targets
- Client satisfaction
- Delivery of regular and accurate client reports
- Services undertaken within client budget
- Continuous improvement, operational efficiency opportunities and innovation
Knowledge & Experience:
- 5+ years of portfolio management experience, preferably with finance sector experience
- Experience with similar type of portfolio, preferably with finance sector experience
- Up to date knowledge of legislation regarding property management in key USA states (NY, California)
- Demonstrable technical competence in property management
- Basic IT skills (word-processing and spreadsheets)
- Experience in property management, preferably with an international firm
