Reporting locally to the Country Head of Multinationals and functionally to the CEO-CMB Head of the Netherlands, the Senior Relationship Manager, CMB, Wholesale Banking is a new key strategic role created as part of an initiative to grow the CMB revenues in Luxembourg by focusing initially on material inbound opportunities including those in the Non-Banking Financial Institutions (NBFI) sector but over a period of time expected to originate opportunities by identifying & developing a relationship with Regional Treasury Centres (RTCs) and new prospect corporates (new mastergroups). Given the nature of the network market and the fact that the role will cut across areas like International Subsidiary Banking (ISB), Regional Relationship Management (RRM), Large Corporates and stakeholder management, the role holder is expected to have a flexible approach willing to adapt depending on the client situation some of which will require addressing high profile inbound requests in a timely fashion.

Role and Responsibilities:
Support the achievement against targets for revenue generation, product alignment, customer satisfaction and cost containment
Increase HSBC's share of wallet with our clients by focusing on Inbound & RTC opportunities
Identify marketing opportunities, undertaking appropriate analysis and preparation of proposals, presentations and pitches for new products and services
Actively develop strong relationships in the Luxembourg market across corporate treasurers and key decision makers in Financial sponsors (private equity) and other NBFI
Network market accountabilities
Ensure timely resolution of high profile client situations liaising with appropriate stakeholders through effective communication
Act as primary point of contact for clients and internal colleagues. Being the point of contact for client relationship managers and clients from an on-boarding, account maintenance and Customer Due Diligence perspective
Responsible for the oversight and co-ordination of new business on-boards, KYC Renewals and remediation projects, existing client maintenance and facilitation of client exits as well as supporting the client relationship managers with any relationship tasks. Complete review and submission of credit risk returns including limit excess/exception, security/documentation outstanding, monthly credit control reports etc.
Maintain regular dialogue with existing clients gathering feedback on client satisfaction ??? if appropriate take appropriate remedial action by liaising with internal teams
First Line of Defence
Protecting the Bank by acting as First Line of Defence and observing all controls
Where applicable, provide high quality industry sector, competitor and client level analysis to support business development, portfolio management and credit risk assessment
Understand and ensure compliance with all relevant internal and external rules, regulations??and procedures that apply to the conduct of the business in which the jobholder is involved
Maintain HSBC internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators
Experience and skills required:
A track record of successfully originating and executing Corporate banking transactions with international clients
An ability to develop relationship with treasurers of large international organisations
Knowledge of corporate banking products with a primary focus on Global Liquidity & Cash management (GLCM) & FX but also on Global Trade & Receivables Finance, Lending & Asset Management
Knowledge of Securities Services (Fund Administration, Custody Services) will be considered a strong advantage
An ability to collaborate with wider team members showing a ???can do??? attitude and willingness to dig into detail as necessary
Bachelor or Master???s degree preferably in Finance, Business or Economics
Excellent written, verbal and presentational skills
Strong written and spoken communication skills in English.
